On the same morning, President Lee uploaded his first TikTok post, which shows him signing an approval document titled “Sign up for TikTok.”
In the post, he introduced himself by saying, “This is Lee Jae-myung on TikTok. Follows, likes, and comments—you know how it works, right?” He added, “I look forward to your support,” and then struck a cheek heart pose and a heart pose over his head to encourage active participation.
Many supportive comments were posted, including messages such as “I installed TikTok just to see you, Mr. President” and “Our family is happy thanks to our stocks.”
The previous night, President Lee had hinted at his TikTok debut on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “February 28, something big is coming.” On the morning of the 28th, he followed up with a post reading “The TikTok president has arrived,” adding, “This is Lee Jae-myung. I look forward to your support,” to announce that he had joined the platform.
