Gyeongbokgung Palace to Close for a Day for BTS Gwanghwamun Concert Drawing 260,000 People: "Palace Closure Planned"

[Financial News] Gyeongbokgung Palace will be closed for a day on the 21st of next month, when BTS (Bangtan Boys) holds its comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul.
On the 28th, the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center, Korea Heritage Service announced on its website and social media that "Gyeongbokgung Palace will be closed on Saturday, March 21."
The closure date coincides with the day of the BTS concert.
Gyeongbokgung Palace is normally open on weekends and designates Tuesday as its regular closing day.
BTS will release its fifth full-length album "Arirang" on the 20th of next month and hold a large-scale free concert titled "BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang" at 8 p.m. on the 21st in and around Gwanghwamun Square.
The concert will be broadcast live worldwide via the streaming service Netflix.
BTS is reportedly discussing plans to perform on a stage set up north of the square, using Gyeongbokgung Palace as a backdrop and passing through Gwanghwamun and the Woldae terraceto thevenue where they will meet fans.
Police estimate that up to 260,000 people could gather for the concert.
Due to the BTS comeback show, the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, located next to the square, will be closed on the Saturday of the concert, and the National Palace Museum of Korea, adjacent to Gyeongbokgung Palace, is reportedly considering whether to close as well.
The Sejong Center for the Performing Arts is canceling or rescheduling scheduled performances, including musicals, plays, and ballets.
