According to The Financial News, as Hotel Shilla president Lee Boo-jin attended her son's entrance ceremony at Seoul National University, her outfit has also drawn significant attention.
The fashion industry reported on the 27th that Lee Boo-jin attended the 2026 academic year entrance ceremony at Seoul National University in Gwanak-gu the previous day with Hong Ra-hee, honorary director of the Leeum Museum of Art, to celebrate her son Im's admission.
Observers said Lee embodied the quintessential "old money look" that emphasizes understated sophistication rather than flashy items with prominent luxury logos.
Her jacket is believed to be from French luxury brand Dior. The "Belted Jacket with Removable Scarf," featuring a standout scarf detail, is part of Dior's 2025 cruise collection.
The piece is not currently available on Dior's official Korean website and is being sold on overseas online platforms for about 8.5 million won.
Her bag is thought to be a Birkin bag from French luxury house Hermès. The Birkin bag, named after British singer and actress Jane Birkin, varies in price depending on model, material, and size, ranging from around 15 million to 260 million won. Because it is almost impossible to purchase one directly in stores, it often trades on the resale market with premiums of tens of millions of won.
Im's shoes are believed to be white sneakers from Alexander McQueen priced in the 1.3 million won range, likely the same pair spotted at his graduation ceremony from Whimoon High School.
Lee has frequently drawn attention for her style at shareholder meetings and other official events, where she tends to choose logo-free outfits in neutral tones that create a look both relaxed and elegant.
Last month, she also made headlines by wearing pieces from a Korean women's designer brand while attending an official event hosted by the Dueul Scholarship Foundation.
At a shareholders' meeting in March last year, she appeared in a coat from Italian luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana.
She also drew notice for the Nento Slim Jacket and Skirt Two-Piece Set with belt from Korean designer brand DINT, priced in the 110,000 won range, which she wore when meeting newly selected Dueul Scholarship Foundation recipients at the Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul.
Im was admitted to the Department of Economics at Seoul National University through the early admission process for the 2026 academic year. He reportedly also achieved a high score on the national college entrance exam, drawing further attention.
