"Cleaning All Night" – AI Cleaning Robot Roams Autier Banpo Underground Parking Lot

POSCO E&C announced on the 26th that it has introduced an AI-based autonomous cleaning robot at the Sinbanpo 21st Apartment Reconstruction and Maintenance Project (Autier Banpo) site. The company plans to significantly raise the level of pre-occupancy maintenance starting from the completion stage.
This introduction aligns with POSCO Group's push to accelerate AI Transformation (AX), extending AI-driven digital transformation to the post-construction phase. The autonomous cleaning robot, introduced in collaboration with robotics specialist CLOBOT, pre-learns spatial information and travel routes to systematically clean common areas throughout the complex.
The robot can call the elevator on its own and move between floors, and when its battery or cleaning water runs low, it automatically returns to a dedicated station for charging and refilling. Because it can operate unmanned around the clock, it performs repetitive cleaning tasks with greater precision and stability. In particular, it can run at night after workers have gone home, maintaining a pleasant cleaning environment without interfering with daytime work.
By introducing this autonomous cleaning robot, POSCO E&C aims to improve quality control at the completion stage and enhance the thoroughness of the management process leading up to move-in, thereby raising both the perceived residential quality and satisfaction of future residents.
