South Korea’s three major mobile carriers — SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus — have all launched pre-order marketing campaigns timed to the release of Samsung Electronics’ next-generation flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26.
According to the industry on the 26th, SK Telecom will select 300 customers who activate their phones between the 27th of this month and March 5 and give them opportunities to join popular running and concert events, as well as fine dining experiences. T Direct Shop will also offer up to 150,000 won in additional trade-in credit to the first 3,000 customers who return their old phones.
SK Telecom has also prepared the "New Galaxy AI Subscription Club with T Phone Upgrade" program, which lets customers switch to a new Samsung Electronics model after using the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra for two years and returning it. Customers who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and sign up for this program by March will have the monthly fee of 5,000 won waived for 24 months, saving a total of 120,000 won. If they change devices after two years and return their old phone, they will also receive an additional 200,000 OK Cashbag points. In addition, when the Galaxy S26 is returned after two years, SK Telecom will provide device compensation based on the condition grade.
KT will run Galaxy S26 experience programs at eight stores nationwide. At KT Onmaji, it will showcase a 360-degree photo booth. Customers can shoot with the high-performance camera of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and then use generative AI features such as "Infinite Creation" to create their own images.
At Hongdae Ad Shop Plus, visitors can edit videos and photos taken at a slow-motion photo booth and a surreal photo zone using the Photo Assist and Creative Studio features. At major flagship stores, customers who try out the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Privacy Display feature will be invited to a "decorate your pen" activity, which includes a keyring charm made with lenticular printing that changes its image depending on the viewing angle.
LG Uplus will offer the Galaxy S26 series pre-order from the 27th of this month to March 5, along with the Google One Pack, which lets customers use Google’s Gemini 3 AI and up to 2TB of storage, and the New Galaxy AI Subscription Club with Reward Pass, which guarantees up to 50% of the original launch price when the device is returned, regardless of the used-market price.
The newly launched Google One Pack is a plan that allows customers to use Google AI Pro, normally priced at 29,000 won per month, at a discounted rate through LG Uplus, the first telecom operator in Korea to offer it.
Subscribers can access Google’s core AI features and models such as Nano Banana Pro, a specialized image generation model; Flow & Whisk, a video creation tool; Deep Research, which can produce professional-level reports; and NotebookLM, a research and learning tool.
LG Uplus is also offering the New Galaxy AI Subscription Club with Reward Pass. It is the only carrier that allows customers to choose a three-year subscription term.
