KOSPI tops 6,200 just a day after breaking 6,000...Samsung Electronics and SK hynix hit record highs [fn Morning Market Brief]

According to The Financial News, the KOSPI has continued its upward momentum even after reaching the 6,000-point milestone, extending its record-breaking rally.
As of 10:27 a.m. on the 26th, the KOSPI was trading at 6,158.36, up 74.50 points (1.22%) from the previous close.
The index opened at 6,121.03, up 37.17 points (0.61%) from the previous session, and then widened its gains. At one point during the session, it climbed to 6,211.50, breaking through the 6,200-point level for the first time ever.
Retail investors alone were net buyers of 1.983 trillion won, driving the index higher. Foreign investors showed net selling of 1.571 trillion won, and institutions were also net sellers of 501.9 billion won.
After Nvidia Corporation posted earnings that far exceeded market expectations, Samsung Electronics and SK hynix both rallied. During intraday trading, Samsung Electronics touched 217,500 won and SK hynix reached 1,053,500 won, each setting fresh record highs again.
Among other large-cap stocks by market capitalization, Hyundai Motor Company, SK Square, Samsung Biologics, Kia Corporation, and Doosan Enerbility were trading higher, while KB Financial Group, Hanwha Aerospace, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Celltrion were weaker.
By sector, electrical and electronics, IT services, manufacturing, machinery and equipment, construction, chemicals, telecommunications, and retail were all posting gains. In contrast, food and beverages and tobacco, paper and lumber, transportation and warehousing, insurance, and electricity and gas were declining.
Meanwhile, at the same time, the KOSDAQ index was trading at 1,170.04, up 4.79 points (0.41%) from the previous session. The KOSDAQ opened at 1,176.15, up 10.90 points (0.94%) from the previous day.
