Band-Craze Hit ‘Bocchi the Rock!’ Now Available in Color on WEBTOON

[Financial News] The hit manga "Bocchi the Rock!", which sparked a band craze, will now be available as a full-color scroll webtoon on WEBTOON.
WEBTOON announced on the 25th that Aki Hamazi’s popular manga "Bocchi the Rock!" will be offered exclusively as a color scroll webtoon on WEBTOON’s "Daily Plus" and on Naver Series.
"Bocchi the Rock!" is a school-life coming-of-age story about Hitori Gotoh, a socially awkward girl who grows through music. The series comically follows her chaotic journey into the live house scene after she happens to meet drummer Ijichi Nijika and joins the four-member band Kessoku Band.
Following the success of the anime adaptation, Kessoku Band’s studio album topped Billboard Japan’s "2023 Year-End Download Albums Chart," underscoring the franchise’s strong popularity.
The new color scroll webtoon reimagines the characters at the center of the "Bocchi syndrome" phenomenon in a format optimized for mobile viewing. The original page layouts have been rearranged into a vertical scroll format, and every episode has been fully remastered in color.
The "Bocchi the Rock!" color scroll webtoon will be available to watch for free every night at 10 p.m. on WEBTOON’s Daily Plus and on Naver Series.
To mark the launch of the color scroll webtoon, Naver Series will run a promotion through March 3. During this period, readers who own the "Bocchi the Rock!" print volumes will receive cookie rewards.
