According to The Financial News reporter Kim Gi-seop in Gangneung, the city has designated Jumunjin Breakwater, Sodol Breakwater, and the Jumunjin BTS Bus Stop as its three recommended travel destinations for March, as part of the 2024–2027 Visit Gangneung Year campaign.
Gangneung City said that the three recommended spots for March are: Jumunjin Breakwater, a filming location for the drama "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God"; Sodol Breakwater, featured in "The Glory"; and the Jumunjin BTS Bus Stop, where a BTS music video was filmed.
Jumunjin Breakwater, known for its emotional seaside scenery in "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," has become a signature attraction that continues to draw domestic and international tourists. It symbolizes the lyrical image of the sea in Gangneung.

Sodol Breakwater served as the backdrop for powerful scenes in "The Glory." Its unique landscape, where rough waves crash against the breakwater, is creating new tourism demand.
The Jumunjin BTS Bus Stop, meanwhile, is the filming site of a BTS music video and has become a must-visit pilgrimage spot in Gangneung for K-pop fans.
Gangneung plans to connect these filming locations into a single route and develop them into a stay-type tourism course that combines content, space, and storytelling.
Seasonal seafood that visitors can enjoy along with these recommended destinations includes red snow crab, pufferfish, flounder, octopus, and mulhoe (cold raw fish soup). Spring seafood, which reaches peak flavor after the cold winter, deepens the lingering impression of the content-focused trip and offers another way to fully experience the changing seasons of the Gangneung sea.
Eom Geum-mun, Director of Tourism Policy at Gangneung City Hall, stated, "The March theme, ‘Walking Through the Scenes! Three Stories of K-content,’ is a representative example of expanding Gangneung’s K-content assets into tourism resources," adding, "We will continue to enhance our content so that visits to filming locations lead to multidimensional trips where visitors experience Gangneung’s sea, alleyways, and food."
