According to The Financial News, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform Party (South Korea), has agreed to take part in an unlimited debate on alleged election fraud on the 27th. He issued a warning to his opponent, former Korean history instructor and hardline conservative YouTuber Jeon Han-gil, declaring that he would "put him in prison."
On the night of the 23rd, Lee wrote on his social networking service (SNS) account, "We sounded out more than 10 media outlets about broadcasting the debate, but most refused because they were concerned that Jeon Yu-kwan (Jeon Han-gil’s legal name) would just spew nonsense." He then added, "A live broadcast has been confirmed for 6 p.m. on the 27th on the YouTube channel PenN Mike."
He continued, "Jeon Han-gil’s side says five people will be coming, but this will be an unlimited debate, so they won’t be able to run away and will end up just clowning around on camera." Lee expressed confidence, saying he would prove that Jeon’s claims of election fraud are nothing more than delusions.
Lee also stated, "Recently, Jeon Han-gil claimed that I did not get into Harvard University through a normal process, but was admitted on the recommendation of President Roh Moo-hyun, and he made remarks related to the alleged sexual bribery frame. I immediately filed a criminal complaint."
He explained, "When I applied to Harvard University in 2002, Roh Moo-hyun was not even president yet. I submitted my application with a recommendation from my homeroom teacher at Seoul Science High School." He added, "Once the result of the criminal case comes out, I will promptly file civil lawsuits against other YouTubers as well over unjust profits gained from false reports about my Harvard education."
Finally, Lee said, "I had considered reconsidering legal action if Jeon used the debate to reflect on his wrongdoing and show a will to turn over a new leaf. But he has instead brazenly gone around spreading the false claim that I avoided the debate, so there will be no more leniency." He went on, "Those who made a business out of so-called election fraud will be ruined by election fraud. Debate, be disgraced, and go to prison."
