According to The Financial News, a concert organized by Jeon Han-gil, a former Korean history instructor and hardline conservative YouTuber, has been called off. Performers had been pulling out one after another, and sluggish ticket sales were already making it difficult to go ahead. On top of that, the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, which was to host the event, canceled the venue booking.
Jeon blamed the cancellation of the venue on Kim Dong-yeon, governor of Gyeonggi Province, claiming that Kim "is more afraid of me than of Han Dong-hoon." Earlier, when news broke that performers were dropping out, he had called it "the bitter reality under the Lee Jae-myung administration," putting the blame on the Lee Jae-myung government.
On the night of the 23rd, through his YouTube channel Jeon Han-gil News, he said, "I heard that Tae Jin-ah, announcer Lee Jae-yong and others are not coming," and then stressed that the March 1st Independence Movement Day Commemorative Freedom Concert, scheduled for March 2 at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, had nothing to do with politics.
He explained, "The first part is a purely musical concert, and you won’t even see Jeon Han-gil," and added, "I was going to do the second part. Former president Yoon Suk Yeol has been sentenced to life imprisonment, but I was planning to say, 'Don’t be discouraged' and 'Let’s unite.'"
Regarding the fact that some performers have filed criminal complaints against him, he emphasized that he, too, is a victim.
He said, "All the casting was handled by the event management company. I only agreed to hold the concert," and continued, "Even so, I will not file counter-complaints."
Tae Jin-ah, whom Jeon had introduced as one of the performers, filed a complaint as soon as it became known that Jeon was organizing the concert, arguing that he had been misled into thinking it was not a political event.

Jeon also commented on the fact that Governor Kim Dong-yeon urged the mayor of Goyang, who has jurisdiction over KINTEX, to cancel the venue booking, which then led to the cancellation.
Jeon argued, "This is persecution. Does Kim Dong-yeon have nothing better to do? Is he afraid of Jeon Han-gil?" He went on, "When Han Dong-hoon held a talk concert at KINTEX (on December 21, 2025), they allowed it. So why is Jeon Han-gil not allowed?"
That day, Governor Kim posted on Facebook, calling on KINTEX CEO Lee Minwoo to cancel the booking for the March 1st Independence Movement Day Commemorative Freedom Concert, also known as the Jeon Han-gil Concert. He explained the reason for his request by saying, "We must not allow the far-right, 'Yoon Again' delusional forces to run rampant. It is even more unacceptable in Gyeonggi Province."
Gyeonggi Province holds a 33.74% stake in KINTEX, and CEO Lee previously served as head of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, a public institution under the provincial government.
Commenting on this, Jeon claimed, "It’s because Han Dong-hoon and Kim Dong-yeon are leftists. This is about taking down Jeon Han-gil, and it shows how influential Jeon Han-gil has become."
He continued, "They may have blocked the concert, but let’s gather at Gwanghwamun for a March 1st commemoration event and unite to fight," adding that, whatever anyone says, he will keep going while chanting "Yoon Again."
Regardless of the concert’s cancellation, ticket sales had been weak. The venue could hold about 10,000 people in total—7,000 in R seats and 3,000 in S seats—but at the time of Jeon’s broadcast, only 394 R seats and 287 S seats had been booked.
