[Financial News] G-Dragon, who is currently a visiting professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), has drawn attention for his message of support to graduates taking their first steps into society at the university’s commencement ceremony.
According to his agency Galaxy Corporation on the 23rd, G-Dragon delivered a congratulatory address via video at the commencement ceremony held on the 20th at KAIST’s main campus in Daejeon.
In his speech, G-Dragon said, "My heartfelt congratulations," adding, "You have done it, and you are the ones who will continue to do it," celebrating the graduates’ achievements.
He went on, "Now you are stepping into a world where there are no right answers," and encouraged them by saying, "It’s okay to be wrong, as long as you don’t stop."
He continued, "Have the courage to choose a path different from others. That courage will ultimately take you the farthest," urging them to "begin freely today."
Graduates at the ceremony responded with cheers and applause to the warm words of comfort and encouragement G-Dragon shared.
Earlier, in June 2024, G-Dragon was appointed as a visiting professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KAIST.
At the time, KAIST explained that it had appointed G-Dragon as a visiting professor "to combine cutting-edge science and technology with K-content and the cultural industry, thereby enhancing the global competitiveness of Korean culture."
