The Financial News reported that police have summoned former PSS deputy chief Kim Seong-hun as a suspect in connection with allegations that former president Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife held a party aboard the Navy command boat VIP Launch.
The Special Investigation Headquarters for the Three Special Counsel Cases of the National Police Agency began questioning Kim at 10 a.m. on the 23rd, treating him as a suspect on charges of abuse of authority.
Yoon and his wife are accused of privately using military assets by holding a party aboard a Navy vessel during their summer vacation in August 2023 at Jinhae Naval Base. Police believe Kim, then deputy chief, was involved in arranging that vacation schedule.
Earlier, in November last year, the Special Prosecutor for Kim Keon-hee questioned Kim as a suspect on charges of violating the Presidential Security Service Act in relation to the same allegations.
