KOSPI easily breaks through 5,700...hits all-time intraday high of 5,766.44 [fn Morning Market]

[Financial News] On the 20th, the KOSPI surpassed the 5,700 mark for the first time ever, backed by buying from retail investors and institutions.
As of 11:08 a.m. that day, the KOSPI was trading at 5,759.12, up 81.87 points (1.44%) from the previous session. The index opened at 5,696.89, 19.64 points (0.35%) higher, and then extended its gains.
Around 10:55 a.m., the KOSPI touched a record intraday high of 5,766.44, fueling expectations that it could break through the 5,800 level.
In the domestic stock market, foreign investors have sold about 637.3 billion won worth of shares, while retail investors and institutions have been net buyers of roughly 137.5 billion won and 475.5 billion won, respectively.
Among the top 14 stocks by market capitalization, Doosan Enerbility (up 5.08%), Hanwha Aerospace (up 4.96%), SK hynix (up 3.80%), and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (up 1.74%) are gaining. In contrast, Hyundai Motor (down 1.17%), Celltrion (down 1.02%), and LG Energy Solution (down 0.37%) are declining.
Samsung Electronics, the largest stock on the KOSPI by market capitalization, is trading at 189,800 won, down 0.11% from the previous session.
The KOSDAQ Index is at 1,158.96, down 1.75 points (0.15%) from the previous day. The index opened at 1,161.40, up 0.69 points (0.06%).
