[Financial News] Han Byung-do, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 19th criticized the People Power Party, saying it must "stop defending real estate speculators."
At the policy coordination meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Han stated, "Eradicating destructive real estate speculation is a historic task that politics must resolve for future generations." He then delivered the above criticism.
He went on to stress, "The Democratic Party will unwaveringly support the government's real estate stabilization measures through legislation, including the establishment of a Real Estate Supervisory Service."
President Lee Jae-myung has repeatedly expressed his determination to root out real estate speculation targeting multiple-home owners through social media. In response, the People Power Party issued a commentary, arguing, "President Lee, who used to demonize multiple-home owners, is now even trying to pin the frame of 'protecting multiple-home owners' on the People Power Party."
