Jung Cheong-rae Says "Yoon Should Be Sentenced to Death"

[Financial News] Jung Cheong-rae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, argued on the 19th that former President Yoon Suk Yeol "should be sentenced to death."
Jung wrote on a social networking service (SNS) that "if we do not punish today's crimes, we will embolden tomorrow's crimes," adding, "I hope there will be no acts that encourage tomorrow's insurrection."
Yoon, who is on trial as the "ringleader of insurrection" over the December 3 martial law incident, is scheduled to receive a first-instance verdict today. The Special Counsel for Insurrection has requested the death penalty for the former president.
