President Lee to have lunch with party leaders Jeong Cheong-rae and Jang Dong-hyuk on the 12th: "Discussing bipartisan cooperation"

According to Financial News, President Lee Jae-myung will host a luncheon meeting at Cheong Wa Dae on the 12th, inviting Jeong Cheong-rae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Jang Dong-hyuk, leader of the People Power Party.
Presidential Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik briefed reporters at the Chunchugwan press center on the 11th, stating, "President Lee will invite the leaders of the two main parties to Cheong Wa Dae on the 12th for a meeting over lunch. This meeting is intended to discuss ways to achieve bipartisan cooperation for restoring people’s livelihoods and stabilizing state affairs."
Kang added, "There will be no restrictions on the agenda, and a candid exchange of views is expected on overall state affairs," and continued, "The president is expected to call for responsible cooperation from the ruling party and the main opposition party in order to bring about tangible changes that the public can truly feel."
He went on to say, "At the start of the new year, we hope this will serve as a starting point to give the people hope through communication and cooperation," stressing, "Cheong Wa Dae will continue to communicate with leaders of both the ruling and opposition parties and, based on unity and trust, will work together with the people to open the path to a great leap forward for the Republic of Korea."
