Takaichi, in message to President Lee: "Looking forward to visiting Korea through shuttle diplomacy"

Tokyo, Financial News – Correspondent Seo Hye-jin: Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, who won a landslide victory in the general election for the House of Representatives on the 8th, has responded to a congratulatory message from President Lee Jae-myung.
Late at night on the 9th, Takaichi posted in Japanese and Korean on her X (formerly Twitter) account, saying, "President Lee Jae-myung, I sincerely thank you for your warm congratulations."
She wrote, "Japan and South Korea are important neighboring countries that must cooperate as partners in addressing various challenges in the international community. As was confirmed when President Lee visited Nara Prefecture last month, we share a recognition of the strategic importance of Japan–Korea relations."
She added, "I hope that, under your leadership and mine, we will continue to develop Japan–Korea relations in a future-oriented and stable manner."
She concluded by saying, "I look forward to being able to visit South Korea through the next round of shuttle diplomacy."
Earlier the same day, President Lee wrote on X, "I sincerely congratulate you on your election victory," adding, "I look forward to welcoming you to South Korea before long through the next round of shuttle diplomacy."
Takaichi also posted a series of messages on X expressing gratitude to other world leaders who had sent her congratulatory messages on the general election victory.
The ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) led by Takaichi won 316 of the 465 seats in the House of Representatives in this election, surpassing the two-thirds threshold of 310 seats needed to initiate constitutional amendments and marking the largest number of seats since the end of the Pacific War.
