[Financial News] Park Kyung-gu (38), a member of the band Eargenity, has passed away. He was an original member who performed during the early busking days of the band Busker Busker, led by singer-songwriter Jang Beom-june.
On the 7th, Park Kyung-gu's cousin wrote on the late musician's social media, "It is still hard to believe, but on behalf of the family, I am sharing this obituary."
The cousin added, "We would be grateful if you could accompany him on his final journey with a warm heart." The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Park was a high school classmate of Jang Beom-june and helped shape the early musical style of Busker Busker. He took part in composing and arranging tracks on Jang's first solo album, and wrote songs including "The One Who Suits the Word Love," "Sinpung Station Exit 2 Blues," and "Fallen Leaves Ending."
After hearing the sad news, Jang Beom-june paid tribute on the 9th by posting a video titled "Park Kyung-gu Best Clip (Best Live Clip)" on his YouTube channel.
In March last year, when he released his "Jang Beom-june 4th Album (History of a Loser)," Jang had also posted a message saying he was "praying for Kyung-gu's health."
