[Financial News] Japanese outlets have enthusiastically welcomed the emergence of commentator Lim Eun-soo.
She only appeared in the broadcast booth, yet they reacted by saying an "incredibly beautiful woman has appeared," and focused their attention on her.
Former figure skater Lim Eun-soo began working as a commentator for SPOTV at the Harbin Asian Winter Games last year. She has also taken on commentary duties for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Regarding this, Japanese outlet Daily Sports reported on the 9th, "The appearance of a woman in the commentary booth caused a stir," adding, "The person in the Korean broadcast booth was Lim Eun-soo, a former Korean figure skating champion who has competed at the World Championships and is now working as a commentator."
The outlet ran a selfie of Lim Eun-soo in her commentator role and shared fans' reactions. It highlighted responses from fans in Korea and abroad such as "She's so pretty" and "Her commentary is excellent."
Lim Eun-soo previously served as a national team member for seven seasons from 2015–2016. In 2018, she won the ISU-recognized Challenger Series event Asian Open Trophy, becoming the first Korean champion at the event since Yuna Kim and making her mark in history. She later even tried her hand at musical theater acting.
In 2025, she took on another challenge as a SPOTV commentator for the Harbin Asian Winter Games. At the time, Lim Eun-soo emphasized, "Watching competitions not as an athlete but as a commentator feels truly new and emotional for me. I am working hard to prepare so that I can offer more convincing explanations from both an athlete's and a coach's perspective."
Meanwhile, at the start of the current event, Lim Eun-soo suffered a sudden dip in her condition and ended up in the emergency room, but still managed to return to the venue. Among the Olympic updates she posted on SNS was a photo taken in an emergency room in Milan.
