Financial News reported that Christine Cabot, who lost her job after being caught on a "kiss cam" with her boss at a Coldplay concert in the United States last July, is now set to speak at a corporate conference where admission alone costs about 1.3 million won.
According to U.S. entertainment outlet TMZ on the 4th (local time), Cabot will deliver a keynote address at the PRWeek Crisis Communications Conference to be held in April in Washington, D.C. She is scheduled to join public relations expert Deanie Von Mueffling for a 30-minute conversation titled "Christine Cabot: Reclaiming the Narrative." Tickets for the event are reportedly priced at up to $875, or about 1.3 million won.
The conference website states, "Cabot has personally experienced the extreme public shaming that women have long faced when subjected to negative media attention," adding, "She will share the immediate and long-term strategies that helped her regain control of her narrative and rewrite her story."
Cabot was the chief people officer (CPO) at data infrastructure company Astronomer. However, on July 16 last year, cameras at a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts captured her in the arms of Andy Byron, the company’s married chief executive officer (CEO), exposing their affair.
After the affair sparked controversy, Cabot resigned from the company. It was reported that following the incident she received 500 to 600 phone calls a day and was harassed by paparazzi, sexist slurs, and death threats. Cabot said, "I want to show my children that anyone can make a mistake, and that you can even make a really big mistake," adding, "But I also want them to know that no one should have their life threatened because of it."
