President Lee to discuss youth jobs and regional investment with heads of top 10 conglomerates at Cheong Wa Dae

Financial News: On the afternoon of the 4th, President Lee Jae-myung will invite the heads of the top 10 business groups to Cheong Wa Dae (the presidential office) for a "Corporate Roundtable on Expanding Youth Employment and Regional Investment."
Attending the meeting will be Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics; Choi Chang-won, Vice Chairman of SK Group; Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group; and Koo Kwang-mo, Chairman of LG Group. Also joining are Shin Dong-bin, Chairman of Lotte Group; Chang In-hwa, Chairman of POSCO Group; Kim Dong-kwan, Vice Chairman of Hanwha Group; Jung Ki-sun, Chairman of HD Hyundai; Hur Tae-soo, Chairman of GS Group; and Walter Cho, Chairman of Hanjin Group.
From the government side, participants will include Koo Yun-cheol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economy, and Kim Jeong-gwan, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy. Kim Yong-beom, Chief of Policy at Cheong Wa Dae; Kang Hoon-sik, Chief of Staff; Joon-Kyung Ha, Senior Secretary for Economic Growth; Ha Jung-woo, Senior Secretary for AI Future Planning; and Kyuyoun Lee, Senior Secretary for Public Communication, will also attend.
At the roundtable, companies are expected to share their plans for new hiring and regional investment, with a focus on expanding youth employment this year. They are also likely to exchange views on the government's ongoing policies to support startups.
In addition, President Lee is expected to discuss with major corporations ways to expand Korea–China economic cooperation, in connection with the "full restoration of Korea–China relations" he declared last month following his summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
