Kim Min-seok, Prime Minister of South Korea, said on the 2nd that he will "regularly open Chongni Gonggwan, the official residence of the Prime Minister of South Korea, to the public through the 'Samcheong-dong Open House' program and communicate directly with the people." This was reported by The Financial News.
At a New Year press briefing held that day at the Prime Minister's Official Residence in Seoul, Kim said, "After today's press conference, I will personally give you, the press corps, a brief tour as part of the 'Samcheong-dong Open House'," announcing the plan.
Kim also outlined plans to create several channels that emphasize communication with the public, including the already launched "K-State Affairs Briefing."
He explained, "We will introduce the 'K-Online Policy Q&A' to provide real-time communication and explanations to the public on major issues. When necessary, ministers, vice ministers, and working-level officials from the relevant ministries will join." He added, "Through the 'Young Korea Tour,' we will visit universities, young entrepreneurs, and young office workers, going directly to where young people are and expanding communication with them."
