[Financial News] Blackpink member Rosé kicked off the 68th Grammy Awards with a performance of her hit song "APT."
On the 1st (local time), Rosé took the stage at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where the awards ceremony was held, and performed "APT." as the opening number together with pop star Bruno Mars.
In the audience, Billie Eilish sang along, while Bad Bunny and Miley Ray Cyrus applauded enthusiastically, showing a heated response. Host Trevor Noah introduced "APT." as a song inspired by a Korean drinking game.
Rosé is in the running for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year at this year's ceremony.
Hybe's global girl group Katseye joined the Best New Artist nominees for a special collaborative stage. They roamed throughout the venue while performing "Gnarly," and Rei Ami, EJAE and others, who sang "Golden" for the soundtrack of the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," responded to the performance from the audience.
Earlier, through their agency, Katseye shared their thoughts, saying, "Just the fact that all of us are here in this moment feels like an incredible honor and a stroke of great luck."
Katseye received dual nominations at this year's Grammys in the Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance categories.
However, the Best New Artist award ultimately went to Olivia Dean. The Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award was presented to Ariana Grande-Butera and Cynthia Erivo for "Defying Gravity."
Meanwhile, Darren Criss and Helen J Shen, leads of the Korean original musical "Maybe Happy Ending," performed the number "Maybe Happy Ending" at the Grammy pre-show event.
