[The Financial News] Hyundai Motor Company, long dubbed a so-called "dream job" destination thanks to an average annual salary nearing 100 million won and mandatory retirement at age 60, has tumbled from first place to sixth in the ranking of "most desirable companies to work for," which it had topped for two consecutive years. Samsung Electronics has reclaimed the No. 1 spot for the first time in three years.
On the 1st, the anonymous workplace community platform Blind released an analysis of 236,106 responses collected between January 1 and December 31 last year for its survey on the "Top 100 Companies People Most Want to Work For."
According to the results, Samsung Electronics ranked first. It is the first time since 2022, or in three years, that Samsung Electronics has returned to the top in this category. Many of the respondents who chose Samsung Electronics as the company they most want to work for were employees of LG Electronics and government officials.

Hyundai Motor Company, which had held the No. 1 position for two years starting in 2023, fell to sixth place in this survey. Hyundai Motor Company climbed from eighth in 2023 to fourth in 2024. By contrast, Kia Corporation rose two spots this time to take second place.
Coupang and SK hynix maintained their third and fifth-place rankings, respectively, for the second consecutive year, while Viva Republica, operator of Toss, climbed three spots to reach fourth place.
These companies appear to have been rated as the most attractive workplaces because they are large corporations in semiconductor, automotive, and defense manufacturing, or major players in information technology.
