Actor Bae Doona Joins Berlin Film Festival Jury, Following Lee Young-ae and Bong Joon Ho

[Financial News] Actor Bae Doona has been selected as a jury member for the Competition section of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale).
On the 28th (local time), the festival announced that Bae Doona, together with U.S. director Reinaldo Marcus Green and Nepali director and producer Min Bahadur Bham, will select the winners in the Competition section, including the Golden Bear.
The jury president will be German director Wim Wenders, known for "Wings of Desire," "Beyond the Clouds," and "Perfect Days."
Among Korean artists, actor Lee Young-ae served on the Berlin jury in 2006, and director Bong Joon Ho was a jury member in 2015.
This year’s festival will run from February 12 to 22. The Competition lineup includes 22 films, among them "Queen at Sea" starring Juliette Binoche and new works by directors Kornél Mundruczó, Angela Schanelec, Emin Alper, and Karim Aïnouz.
From Korea, director Hong Sang-soo’s "The Day She Returns" will screen in the Panorama section of the Berlin International Film Festival, while director Jeong Ji-yeong’s "My Name Is" will be shown in the Forum section of the Berlin International Film Festival. Director Yoo Jae-in’s feature debut "En Route To" has been invited to the Generation 14plus section.
