[Financial News] Mattel, best known as the maker of the Barbie doll, has turned the main characters of the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters" into dolls and unveiled them.
On the 27th (local time), Mattel revealed a new toy lineup inspired by KDHun at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair.
Mattel explained, "This collection is designed so that KDHun fans of all ages can celebrate the movie, its characters, and songs, and strengthen their connection through play."
To that end, the company will roll out related products across multiple categories, including dolls tailored to its American Girl, Polly Pocket, Uno, Little People Collector, and fashion doll brands, as well as action figures, games, and collectibles.

Starting today, the official American Girl online store has begun taking pre-orders for the American Girl KPop Demon Hunters Collection. Each 18-inch (45 cm) doll of Hunters members Rumi Kang, Zoey, and Mira is priced at 165 dollars (about 266,500 won).
Buying all three dolls pushes the total price above 700,000 won. Mattel introduced the line by saying, "Each doll is inspired by the character’s on-screen look and personality, and features premium fabrics, intricate accessories, and styling that reflect the film’s iconic fashion, music, and attitude."
Dolls depicting Jinu of the Saja Boys performing "Soda Pop" with Mira, Rumi Kang, and Zoey while they are out hunting demons will be sold under the fashion doll brand. Each doll will be priced at 26.99 dollars (about 38,525 won).

Mattel is also creating 6-inch action figures.
According to Forbes, Mattel is preparing a two-pack of action figures that recreate Rumi Kang and Jinu in their final battle outfits. Each figure has 18 points of articulation.
Nick Karamanos, Senior Vice President, Action Figures and Entertainment Partnerships at Mattel, noted, "The popularity of KPop Demon Hunters is passionate and rapidly growing, and it is a global phenomenon driven especially by its worldwide fan base," adding, "Thanks to our close partnership with Netflix, we were able to move quickly and deliver products on an amazing timeline."
