[The Financial News] Cheong Wa Dae (the Blue House) welcomed the decision by the People's Republic of China (PRC) to move some of the structures it had unilaterally installed in the Korea–China Provisional Measures Zone of the Yellow Sea. The PRC relocated them outside the Provisional Measures Zone (PMZ).
On the 28th, Cheong Wa Dae stated that "the PRC government announced yesterday that a management platform installed within the Provisional Measures Zone is being relocated by a PRC company in line with its own needs."
It went on to stress, "Our government has continued consultations with the PRC on the basis of our position that we oppose any unilateral installation of structures within the Provisional Measures Zone. As the management platform in question has long been at the center of various concerns, we welcome this step as meaningful progress."
Cheong Wa Dae added, "While firmly safeguarding our maritime rights and interests in the Yellow Sea, the government will continue its efforts to make the Yellow Sea a 'peaceful and shared sea.'"
