[The Financial News] As the Dubai Chewy Cookie (Dujjonku) enjoys near-frenzied popularity, Starbucks Coffee Korea is also rolling out a limited-edition Dubai Chewy Roll.
Starbucks: "Limited to two per person, in-store orders only"

On the 27th, Starbucks posted a teaser about the launch on its official Instagram account.
According to the post, starting on the 30th, Starbucks will offer the Dubai Chewy Roll as a limited item at six stores in Seoul: Reserve Gwanghwamun, Starfield COEX Mall R Starbucks Reserve store, Starbucks Reserve Yongsan Pruzio Summit, Centerfield R Starbucks Reserve store, Seongsu Station, and Starbucks Hongdae Donggyo branch.
Starbucks said sales will be limited to two pieces per person and that customers must order directly from store partners at the counter. It also noted that the product will not be available through external channels such as Siren Order, the DT Zone, or Delivers.
Online users: "I’ll be there right at 7", "It’s tough for people who don’t live in Seoul"

People who saw the post online shared a wide range of reactions.
Some commented, "Please increase the number of stores beyond just six," and "How are people outside Seoul supposed to get this?" calling for wider availability. Others reacted by saying, "I’m curious about the price," and "Do I need to be there right at 7 a.m. when they open?"

Industry watchers expect the popularity of Dubai-themed products, which began with Dubai Chocolate and then the Dubai Chewy Cookie, to continue for some time. Riding this trend, major bakery and café chains such as Paris Baguette and A Twosome Place have already rushed to release similar products ahead of Starbucks.
The unusual level of popularity has also drawn attention from foreign media.
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) recently reported that Dubai Chocolate, which went viral worldwide through social media, has been reinterpreted in Korea as the Dubai Chewy Cookie and is posting strong sales. The report noted that although it is called a cookie, it is made by wrapping pistachio and kataifi (kadayif) in chocolate marshmallow, giving it a chewy texture closer to rice cake.
The Dubai Chewy Cookie is made by rolling kataifi and pistachio paste inside marshmallow.
Gulf News also covered the Dubai Chewy Cookie craze, describing it as a dessert inspired by Dubai Chocolate and characterized by its chewy texture.
Recently, a photo of President Lee Jae-myung of South Korea looking intrigued as he held a Dubai Chewy Cookie that he received as a gift from an elementary school student went viral online.
