According to The Financial News, Cheong Wa Dae invited YouTubers such as "Kimpro" and "Syuka World" to a meeting aimed at resolving social conflicts as seen by young people and seeking more effective ways to communicate with them.
Cheong Wa Dae said that on the 26th, the Office of the Secretary to the President for National Unity held the fifth session of the "Dialogue with Young People of Diverse Perspectives" (Dasi-cheong Dialogue), chaired by Secretary Heo Eun-ah. Nineteen YouTubers and creators active in everyday-life and communication content with global influence took part.
Before the meeting, participants toured Chunchugwan and experienced how traditional media and new media are connected. During the ensuing discussion, they exchanged views on the current state of new media and the challenges faced by YouTubers and creators. They also discussed communication strategies to minimize misunderstandings and promote unity, based on a better understanding of young people’s communication culture.
YouTuber Kimpro remarked that "it is important to respond sensitively to trends" in order to communicate with young people, adding, "When key issues such as policy and regulation are decided, there needs to be a forum for communication so that the opinions of most YouTubers and creators can be reflected." Syuka World also stressed, "When talking with young people, policy discussions need to take place in the language of youth, not in the traditional language of politics, if you want to gain their empathy."
Meanwhile, creator and actor Hyun Woo said, "There are still blind spots where YouTubers and creators are not properly protected," and suggested, "We need institutional support so that they can work safely as part of a national industry." Miho TV shared the reality that YouTubers and creators are exposed to malicious comments and fake news behind the scenes of their public visibility, emphasizing that this is not just an individual problem but one that requires social and institutional solutions.
Heo Eun-ah, Secretary to the President for National Unity, said, "In line with the president’s view that we must restore communication and trust between generations by understanding the media and leisure spaces mainly used by young people, we have been continuing conversations with young people from diverse backgrounds." She went on to state, "So that we can actively resolve young people’s misunderstandings and conflicts, the Lee Jae-myung administration will fulfill its responsibility to communicate not with authority, but with empathy and understanding."
The Dasi-cheong Dialogue has held five sessions since it began in December 2025. In the first quarter of this year, it plans to hold discussions with young people from the Daegu–Gyeongbuk region, Esports experts, political YouTubers, and office workers, regardless of ideology, generation, gender, or region, to hear a wide range of perspectives from youth.
