KOSPI rebounds after opening lower, holds above 4,900 [fn Morning Market Report]

[Financial News] As of 10:16 a.m. on the 27th, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) is trading at 4,982.98, up 33.39 points (0.67%) from the previous session.
The KOSPI opened at 4,932.89, down 16.70 points (0.34%), and at one point during the session fell as much as 58.87 points (1.19%) to 4,890.72, briefly breaking below the 4,900 level.
However, as both individual and institutional investors turned net buyers, the index rebounded during the session to as high as 4,992.13, up 42.54 points (0.86%).
In the KOSPI market, individuals are net buying 277.4 billion won and institutions 76.9 billion won, while foreigners are net selling 308.9 billion won.
Among large-cap stocks, movements are mixed. Samsung Electronics and SK hynix are trading up 0.92% and 3.94%, respectively, from the previous day, while Hyundai Motor and Kia are weaker, down 2.13% and 3.03%.
By sector, telecommunications (6.60%), securities (3.22%), and IT services (2.99%) are strong, while metals (-2.40%) and transportation equipment and parts (-1.61%) are declining.
The KOSDAQ Index, which closed above 1,000 points in the previous session, is currently trading at 1,071.57, up 7.16 points (0.67%).
