[Financial News] The Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) is introducing a one-stop civil service platform that integrates previously scattered police civil service websites into a single system.
The KNPA announced on the 26th that it has officially launched the one-stop integrated police civil service platform "Police Civil Service 24" so that the public can access police-related services more easily and quickly.
Police Civil Service 24 is a service that consolidates and connects 22 separate police civil service websites into one platform. It resolves the structural inconvenience of having to move between multiple sites to handle requests and establishes a unified, single-window civil service system.
Through Police Civil Service 24, the KNPA has expanded the number of online civil services from 52 to 86. It has also increased the types of mobile electronic certificates available from 5 to 19.
As a result, people no longer need to visit police stations in person or obtain and submit paper documents. A wide range of police civil services can now be handled remotely and online. In addition, by introducing the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute (KFTC) payment system and an electronic revenue stamp payment service, all steps from inquiry and application to fee payment can be completed in one place on Police Civil Service 24.
Police Civil Service 24 supports easy login without separate membership registration, using simple authentication methods such as mobile authentication, mobile ID cards, and joint certificates. By adopting the Any-ID government integrated authentication system into the KNPA platform, the agency has also simplified complex authentication procedures so that users can access various government services, including Government24 and e-People, with a single login.
In line with changing service usage environments, the KNPA has newly developed a Police Civil Service 24 mobile application. It also offers a responsive mobile web service that supports multiple environments, including personal computers (PCs), mobile phones, and tablets.
An official from the KNPA stated, "Police Civil Service 24 is a core platform for transitioning to a citizen-centered digital administration system. We expect multi-layered policy effects, including improved accessibility and speed in applying for and processing police civil services, greater convenience for the public, enhanced efficiency in handling requests, and reduced administrative costs." The official added, "We plan to gradually move all police civil services online through continuous functional upgrades and service expansion."
