Cartier, it won’t be cheaper than today...prices to rise by up to 9% [Luxury Price Watch]

According to Financial News, luxury brands have been raising prices since the very start of the new year, and French luxury jewelry and watch brand Cartier is also moving ahead with a price hike.
Newsis reported on the 20th that Cartier will raise prices in Korea by 6–9% on all products except eyewear starting on the 27th.
With this increase, the Tank Must watch, extra-large model, automatic movement, steel (WSTA0053) is expected to go up from the current 8.3 million won to somewhere between 8.8 million and 9.05 million won.
Cartier already implemented four rounds of price hikes in Korea last year, in February, May, September, and December.
Meanwhile, other luxury watch brands are also lining up to raise prices this year.
Swiss luxury watch brand Rolex raised its prices in Korea at the very beginning of the year, and its affiliated brand Tudor also adjusted its prices upward.
TAG Heuer, a brand under LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), increased its watch prices in Korea by an average of 6% this month, while Hublot raised its prices by 3–8%.
In addition, Swiss luxury watch and jewelry brand Piaget increased prices on products sold in Korea by up to 5% on the 15th, and Japanese premium watch brand Grand Seiko raised its domestic prices by 4–11%.
