\r\n[Financial News] The title of the new album that BTS is releasing after three years and nine months has been revealed: it is named after the representative traditional Korean folk song, “Arirang.”
At midnight on the 16th, BTS announced the title of their fifth full-length album, scheduled for release on March 20, through the global superfan platform Weverse.
The new album “Arirang,” which contains a total of 14 tracks, bears a title that encapsulates BTS’ identity and the emotions they wish to share with music fans.
Ahead of their long-awaited comeback, the group naturally turned their focus to their roots and beginnings, as well as to their inner stories. As a group that originated in Korea, they have infused their music with their identity, the deep-seated sense of longing in their hearts, and feelings of profound love. Centered on these universal emotions of longing and deep love, the new album is set to unfold its narrative.
Following the album’s release, BTS will kick off a new world tour with a concert at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province near Seoul on April 9.
The tour will span 79 shows across 34 cities worldwide, marking the highest number of dates ever for a K-pop act. With concerts in Japan and the Middle East expected to be added, the scale of the tour is projected to grow even further.
The group will become the first Korean artists to perform at numerous stadiums in the United States of America, including in El Paso, Texas, Foxborough, Arlington, Texas, and Baltimore. They also plan to employ 360-degree stage production to maximize immersion for audiences at the venues.
