Director Hong Sang-soo invited to the Berlin International Film Festival for the 7th consecutive time with "The Day She Returns"

[Financial News] Director Hong Sang-soo's 34th film 'The Day She Came Back' was invited to the Panorama section of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival.
According to distributor Finecut on the 15th, 'The Day She Came Back' is the story of a middle-aged actress with a daughter who returns to work after divorce, and stars Song Sun-mi, Jo Yoon-hee, Park Mi-so, and Ha Sung-gook. Actress Kim Min-hee participated as the production director.
Tricia Tootles, executive director of the Berlin International Film Festival, highly praised Song Sun-mi's performance and said, "It is a delicate and beautifully observed film with strong feelings of compassion and humor," and introduced it as "an exploration of what it means for a famous woman to live in the public eye."
The Berlin International Film Festival will be held from the 12th to the 22nd of next month (local time). The Panorama section highlights contemporary social issues and new cinematic trends.
Meanwhile, Director Hong has received love calls from the Berlin International Film Festival for seven consecutive years. Four of these films, including "The Woman Who Ran" (2020), "Introduction" (2021), "A Novelist's Film" (2022), and "A Traveler's Needs" (2024), have won awards.
