[Financial News] A Chinese social media account believed to belong to Danielle, formerly of the group NewJeans, has been found, drawing significant attention.
According to News1 and other outlets on the 15th, Danielle recently opened an account on Xiaohongshu, often described as China’s version of Instagram.
The account uses the same handle as Danielle’s Instagram ID, “dazzibelle.”
As of that day, Danielle had not posted any content on her Xiaohongshu account, but the number of followers has already surpassed 10,000, reflecting intense local interest.
It has been reported that Danielle’s older sister, singer Olivia Marsh, is also following the account.
With Danielle launching a Xiaohongshu account, some observers speculate that she may be preparing for activities in China.
Previously, on the 12th, Danielle held a live broadcast titled “Dear Bunnies” on her personal Instagram account.
During the broadcast, Danielle said, “I fought until the very end so I could stay with the members,” adding, “NewJeans will always have a place in my heart. This is not the end, but the beginning.”
Danielle, who recently received notice from her agency ADOR that her exclusive contract had been terminated and is now in a damages lawsuit against ADOR, refrained from commenting on the ongoing legal proceedings during the live broadcast.
She said, “A lot of things are being sorted out right now,” and added, “When the time comes, I will update you on the lawsuit and the things you’re curious about.”
Danielle had been in a dispute with ADOR over her exclusive contract and, after losing a lawsuit seeking confirmation that the contract remained valid, expressed her intention to return to the agency. However, ADOR notified Danielle last month that it was terminating her exclusive contract. ADOR has filed a damages suit of around 4.3 billion won against Danielle, her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.
Meanwhile, Danielle recently donated 302 million won to support people in need.
On the 11th, the non-profit YANA Association (You Are Not Alone) announced that Danielle had donated 302 million won.
The YANA Association is a non-profit organization that supports children in welfare facilities, single-parent families, and young people preparing to live independently who require social protection.
