[Financial News] A car driving down the road with a sign indicating that a newborn was on board was spotted, prompting a wave of warm congratulations online. In response to the outpouring of well-wishes, the car owner said, "We’ll raise her beautifully, just as much as you have encouraged us," completing a heartwarming story.
On the 12th, a post was uploaded to a social networking service (SNS) with the hashtag "scenery" and a short caption reading, "Wow, congratulations," along with a photo.
In the photo, which appears to have been taken near Yangpyeong County, a car is seen driving with a handwritten sign attached to its trunk lid that reads, "Newborn on the way home." Although it was just a short phrase and a single picture, it was enough to make it clear that a mother who had just finished postpartum care and her baby were heading home for the first time.
The photo, carrying a heartwarming story, quickly spread online, and people who saw it responded with warm comments and messages of congratulations and support, such as, "I thought it was a ‘beginner driver’ sign, but it really was a newborn on the way home—congratulations," "You can just imagine how much they wanted to show her off; I can picture the look on their face while driving," and "The weather outside is cold, but I keep coming back to this post because I love how it radiates warmth."
As the post went viral, the car owner himself left a comment on it in about a day. He wrote, "I never imagined the ‘pumpkin carriage’ carrying our little princess would get this much attention," adding, "She’s our second child, but once again my wife and baby were drenched in sweat as we barely made it from Hanam to Yangpyeong County. Even though we drove slowly in the second lane, other drivers were considerate, so we arrived home safely," explaining what had happened at the time.
He continued, "My wife and I found this post over lunch and read through each and every comment and congratulatory message. Thank you," and pledged, "We’ll raise her beautifully and happily, just as much as you have congratulated and encouraged us." Later, on his own SNS, the car owner also posted side-by-side photos of the "Pumpkin Carriage No. 1," which he used when taking his first daughter home, and the now-famous "Pumpkin Carriage No. 2."
