HANMI Semiconductor Co., Ltd. hires former Apple Inc. Vice President Lee Myung-ho

HANMI Semiconductor Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that it has hired semiconductor expert Vice President Lee Myung-ho, who previously worked at Apple Inc. in the United States.
As Vice President at HANMI Semiconductor Co., Ltd., Lee will oversee both development and sales, focusing on strengthening new product and technology development. The company also plans to further solidify its business by expanding overseas clients and pursuing strategic collaborations.
Lee is an expert with more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor field. He has worked at global semiconductor companies including Apple Inc., Texas Instruments, JCET Group and STATS ChipPAC, and Amkor Technology. Drawing on hands-on experience that spans product development, process technology, quality, and manufacturing, he has led the development and mass production of various advanced semiconductor packaging technologies.
At Apple Inc., Lee worked for 10 years from 2014, overseeing semiconductor packaging development for application processors (AP) used in key products such as the iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad. He also led the development of battery protection circuits (BMU). In the process, he demonstrated his technological competitiveness by securing a U.S. patent related to electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding.
Previously, he worked at Texas Instruments for 10 years from 2004, where, as an engineering manager, he led a variety of global projects including those for Nokia Corporation. He spearheaded the development of next-generation packaging technologies and became the first member from an outsourced development organization to be appointed as a technical advisory member (MGTS).
At JCET Group and STATS ChipPAC, he served as head of product development, leading program development with global semiconductor companies such as Nvidia Corporation, Broadcom Inc., and International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). At Amkor Technology, he achieved outstanding results in areas including packaging and materials technology development.
A HANMI Semiconductor Co., Ltd. official said, "The addition of Vice President Lee will be an important turning point in elevating our capabilities to serve global clients and enhancing our competitiveness in next-generation semiconductor technologies," adding, "We will further solidify our position in the global market."
