From the third quarter of 2024 to the second quarter of 2025, the Seoul Metropolitan Government conducted evaluations on voluntary compliance measures and participation levels at eco-friendly construction sites. Through this process, 16 outstanding construction sites and three construction companies were selected.
At the 'Seosomun District Zone 10 Urban Renewal Redevelopment Project' site of DL Construction Co., Ltd., stricter standards than those required by law have been applied to control fugitive dust. All personnel at the site, including workers, actively participated in fugitive dust prevention activities regardless of their specific duties.
In particular, the company established response measures to comply with mandatory low-emission requirements for aging construction machinery and managed the site so that only low-emission vehicles were operated. In addition, it implemented and operated various policies, including: operating a real-name system for construction vehicles entering and leaving the site and providing on-site training; spraying water on surrounding roads at least twice a day; conducting real-time fine dust monitoring using the Internet of Things (IoT); operating an unmanned water-spraying system; and using fine dust adsorption filters.
A DL Construction Co., Ltd. official said, "It is highly meaningful that our site has received this award for three consecutive years in recognition of its efforts to create eco-friendly construction sites by the Seoul Metropolitan Government," adding, "We will continue to work toward firmly establishing the Seoul Eco-friendly Construction Site System and do our utmost to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project."
