Hanwha Vision has unveiled, for the first time in the world, an artificial intelligence (AI) security solution that delivers top performance in extreme environments at the Middle East’s largest security exhibition, Financial News reported.
Hanwha Vision announced on the 14th that it took part in the security exhibition Intersec 2026, held from the 12th to the 14th in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), where it showcased its latest technologies under the theme "Beyond Imaging, Beyond Intelligence."
In particular, the company unveiled the world’s first AI Ruggedized PTZ Camera. Five ruggedized cameras installed at the center of the booth were linked into a single system, drawing visitors’ attention as they moved in a stable and synchronized manner, almost like a choreographed performance.
The camera can withstand temperatures as low as minus 50 degrees Celsius and as high as 60 degrees Celsius, and delivers bright, clear images in any environment thanks to defrosting and anti-icing technology. With international dustproof and waterproof ratings, it offers outstanding performance across a wide range of industrial sites.
The AI-based System on a Chip (SoC) Wisenet 9 also drew strong interest. The booth featured holographic images created with 3D technology and a mini darkroom where visitors could indirectly experience Wisenet 9’s low-light performance. Wisenet 9 incorporates dual NPU technology, which rapidly processes image enhancement and AI video analytics through two neural processing units (NPUs). Hanwha Vision has been proving its proprietary technological capabilities by rolling out products equipped with these cutting-edge technologies since the first half of last year.
The company also showcased solutions tailored to the Middle Eastern market, including the WACS Plus access control solution, the Vision Insight video management software, and the eco-friendly Smart Solar Pole security equipment.
This year, Hanwha Vision’s new visual motif, Pixel, was applied to the booth design. The new motif reflects the company’s commitment and future direction to leverage its differentiated technological capabilities to analyze even the smallest unit of video data—the pixel—with precision.
“In the Middle East, the AI-based video security market is growing rapidly with the spread of smart cities and smart factories,” a Hanwha Vision official said, adding, “By actively promoting AI and other advanced technologies, we will lead the global video security market, including the Middle East.”
Meanwhile, according to global market research firm Omdia, the video security market in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) is expected to grow at an annual rate in the 10% range from this year through 2029. Hanwha Vision has recently drawn market attention by signing a contract to supply security cameras to Burj Azizi, a supertall skyscraper under construction in Dubai.
