[Financial News] An employee at a hot pot chain restaurant in Daegu Metropolitan City is drawing attention for resembling actor and singer Cha Eun-woo.
On the 13th, a post titled "The Haidilao in Daegu that has blown up because of one employee" was uploaded to an online community.
The video shared with the post shows a male employee at the Haidilao in Daegu Metropolitan City performing the restaurant’s signature Kung Fu Noodles show. In this performance, staff twirl fresh noodles through the air and pull them by hand as if dancing. However, it was the employee’s strikingly handsome looks, more than the performance itself, that captured customers’ attention.
With his thick eyebrows and well-defined features, the employee is said to already be famous in Daegu Metropolitan City as a Cha Eun-woo lookalike.
In fact, multiple posts about the employee have been uploaded to various social media platforms, with captions such as "I got to see the Cha Eun-woo of Daegu Haidilao," "I’m just going to pop over to Daegu for a bit to see the Cha Eun-woo of Haidilao," and "Cha Eun-woo at Haidilao?" Some of these posts have racked up high view counts, including 5.12 million and 900,000 views.
Reactions from online users who saw the posts have also been entertaining. Comments included: "Hiring one handsome employee is doing more for Daegu Haidilao’s promotion than a hundred other marketing campaigns," "This really proves that if you’re good-looking, you’ll find a way to make a living... people are going to line up here," "I’m sure there must be at least one area where he’s lacking," "So this is about ‘Myeon Eun-woo’ (a noodle-themed nickname for him)," and "Hey, looks like I’ve got a reason to go to Daegu now."
