[Financial News] Danielle, formerly of the girl group NewJeans, who was recently notified by her agency ADOR of the termination of her exclusive contract and is currently in a damages lawsuit, shared her position through a live broadcast on social media (SNS).
On the afternoon of the 12th, during a live broadcast titled “Dear Bunnies,” Danielle said, “I fought until the end so that I could stay with the members,” adding, “NewJeans is always in a corner of my heart. This is not the end but the beginning.”
That day, Danielle personally updated domestic and overseas fans on how she has been and checked in with them via her personal Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms. Although this was the first time she had directly stated her position since the termination of her exclusive contract, she refrained from commenting on the ongoing lawsuit.
Instead, she said, “A lot of things are still being sorted out right now,” and added, “When the time comes, I will update you on the lawsuit and the things you are curious about,” indicating that she would speak about them later.
Danielle’s live broadcast on social media that day lasted about nine minutes, during which she became emotional and teary as she expressed her gratitude to the fans who have supported her. She had previously been in a dispute with ADOR over her exclusive contract, and after losing a lawsuit seeking confirmation of the contract’s validity, she expressed her intention to return to the agency, but last month she was notified that her exclusive contract had been terminated.
ADOR is currently pursuing a damages lawsuit of around 43 billion won against Danielle, her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.
