KOSPI Turns Higher Despite Foreign Net Selling [Afternoon Market Brief]

[The Financial News] The KOSPI opened lower early in the session but has since turned higher.
As of 2:21 p.m. on the 9th, the KOSPI is trading at 4,573.92, up 21.55 points, or 0.47%, from the previous session.
The index started the day at 4,530.03, down 22.34 points, or 0.49%, from the previous close.
In the KOSPI Market, foreign investors are net sellers of about 1.6053 trillion won. In contrast, retail investors and institutions are net buyers of roughly 393.9 billion won and 959.8 billion won, respectively.
Among large-cap stocks, performance is mixed. Samsung Electronics is up 0.07%, while SK Hynix is down 1.72%.
By sector, transport equipment and parts are leading gains with a rise of 5.48%, followed by IT services at 1.25% and construction at 1.30%.
The Korea Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (KOSDAQ) index is trading at 944.13, up 0.07 points, or 0.01%, from the previous day.
