On the 6th, foreign workers participated in hands-on first aid training. Provided by Hanwha Corporation E&C Division.
Hanwha Corporation E&C Division announced on the 7th that it conducted scenario-based first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training for foreign workers at the Seoul Arena Complex Cultural Facility construction site on the 6th, along with remote video training for all sites to promote health and safety.
The training was jointly led by a foreign worker safety culture instructor and a first aid specialist, aiming to enhance understanding and strengthen practical emergency response capabilities among foreign workers.
The program covered various topics: first aid methods for different scenarios, CPR using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and CPR without an AED.
First aid instruction focused on major types of accidents that can occur at construction sites, such as falls, fractures, and amputations. Trainees practiced emergency response in simulated real-life situations and received feedback from experts to master proper techniques.
CPR training was divided based on whether an AED was used. Participants practiced directly on mannequins, following step-by-step instructions displayed on a screen. Through repeated drills, foreign workers became more familiar with AED operation.
For CPR sessions without an AED, trainees practiced chest compressions using adult torso mannequins previously utilized in training.
Hanwha Corporation E&C Division is strengthening on-site safety management systems through ongoing first aid education. During the winter season, it is running the 'Winter Health 2GO Campaign' to prevent cold-related illnesses and accidents in confined spaces at construction sites.
Yunhae Kim, Head of Safety and Environmental Management at Hanwha Corporation E&C Division, stated, "We hope this training will further enhance the emergency response capabilities of our foreign workers."
