[Financial News] Everland, now transformed into a world of bungeoppang, welcomed the Odungi Family of quintuplets.
Samsung C&T Corporation’s Resort Division announced on the 7th that Everland invited the Odungi Family—quintuplets who closely resemble each other like bungeoppang—to the site of its new special event, Bungeoppang Rush. Everland has launched the ‘Whatever Series,’ which will feature diverse content with a new theme every month until 2026. The first installment, the bungeoppang special event, is being held throughout January.
On January 4, the first weekend of the new year, the guests at Everland were Kim Jin-su (35), Seo Hyejeong (35), and their five children—one son and four daughters—born in November 2021. The family drew significant attention as the first quintuplets born in Korea in over 30 years, and they continue to receive widespread support and encouragement after being featured in various media outlets. Both parents are currently serving as active-duty military officers, balancing their military careers with raising five children—a story that has left a strong impression on many.
To commemorate the January event themed around bungeoppang, a classic winter snack, Everland specially invited the Odungi Family to embody the meaning of ‘a family that resembles bungeoppang.’ The family first visited the Panda Second House, where they met the twin pandas Rui Bao and Hui Bao, sharing a meaningful moment reflecting on the value of life and growth.
They then participated in the Safari Special Tour, where they could observe tigers, lions, and other wild animals up close, enjoying the safari adventure with vivid explanations from a professional zookeeper. The children were captivated by the animal world outside the window, expressing their excitement with sparkling eyes. At Alpine Village, they sampled a variety of bungeoppang treats, including red bean and custard cream, took photos, and enjoyed performances—creating precious memories together.
The family also visited the snow sledding hill, a highlight of the winter season. When the Odungi quintuplets appeared in bungeoppang-shaped hats and headbands at the Snow Playground, they drew warm smiles and attention from other visitors. The children fully enjoyed winter by sledding and playing in the snow.
Kim Jin-su and Seo Hyejeong said, “As our children grow, we’ve been looking for places to make memories together, and Everland has often come to mind. We are grateful for this unforgettable day and hope to visit often to create even more memories as a family.”
