"It Looked Lush, But It Was a Wig"... Indian Woman Sues Husband for Hiding Baldness and Education

[Financial News] The story has emerged of an Indian woman who filed a police complaint against her husband and four of his family members, alleging that he deceived her about his baldness, income, and education before marriage. She also claimed that after their wedding, her husband revealed his true nature, subjecting her to assault and threats.
On the 5th (local time), New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) reported that a woman living in Noida, northern India, identified as A, had filed a complaint against her husband and four of his family members on charges including fraud and domestic violence.
According to the report, the couple married on January 16 last year. The woman, A, stated, "Before the wedding, my husband told me he had thick hair, but after marriage, I discovered he was completely bald and wore a wig."
She further alleged that her husband also lied about his actual income and educational background.
Additionally, A claimed that after the marriage, her husband threatened to distribute her private photos and physically abused her. She also asserted that she was assaulted during an overseas trip and was coerced into smuggling marijuana from Thailand into India.
Local police stated that, based on the victim's testimony, they have booked the husband and four family members and are conducting further investigations. Authorities reportedly charged them under the penal code for abuse, intimidation, assault, and breach of trust, as well as violations of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
