[Financial News] Aekyung Industrial has initiated a voluntary recall of six Chinese-made toothpaste products after a banned substance was found in oral care items.
On the 6th, Aekyung Industrial stated, "We have confirmed that trace amounts of the preservative Triclosan were found in six types of toothpaste manufactured and imported through the Chinese company Domy Chemical and sold under our brand. Prioritizing customer safety, we immediately suspended the import and distribution of these products upon confirmation and decided to recall all affected items, regardless of their manufacturing date."
The affected products include 2080 Basic Toothpaste, 2080 Daily Care Toothpaste, 2080 Smart Care Plus Toothpaste, 2080 Classic Care Toothpaste, 2080 Triple Effect Alpha Fresh Toothpaste, and 2080 Triple Effect Alpha Strong Toothpaste.
Consumers who possess these products can apply for a full refund of the purchase price through Aekyung Industrial’s dedicated toothpaste recall customer center or website, regardless of manufacturing date, place of purchase, purchase date, usage status, whether the product was purchased personally, or receipt availability.
Aekyung Industrial emphasized that, aside from the products subject to this recall, all other toothpaste products are manufactured domestically and have no issues with quality or ingredients.
