[Financial News] The production team of Netflix's 'Culinary Class Wars Season 2' announced that it will pursue legal action in response to malicious slander and personal attacks directed at the show's participants.
On the 6th, Studio Slam, the production company behind Culinary Class Wars Season 2, stated via its YouTube channel, "Since the program aired, there have been cases of personal attacks, malicious comments, and defamatory messages sent to the social media accounts of certain chefs featured on the show."
They added, "Such actions not only seriously damage the reputations of chefs who have devoted their lives to cooking, but can also leave lasting wounds on the non-celebrity participants. We will take action to ensure that chefs who participated out of pure passion for cooking do not suffer further harm."
The statement continued, "We are continuously collecting defamatory posts or social networking service (SNS) messages concerning specific chefs. We plan to take strong legal measures without leniency."
They further emphasized, "A mature viewing culture and consideration are the greatest support for protecting the chefs and sustaining the program. Please refrain from indiscriminate criticism and personal attacks that go beyond healthy critique."
Recently, unverified rumors and posts have been rapidly spreading across online communities and SNS, including claims that some chefs formed a cartel, that a certain chef abused their power and used harsh language, and that there was workplace bullying.
'Culinary Class Wars' is a competition where 100 chefs, including underdog chefs acclaimed for their skills, challenge the top 'Silver Spoon Chef' in a culinary class battle.
