[Financial News] On the morning of the 3rd (local time), multiple explosions were reported in Caracas, the capital of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, according to international media including The Associated Press (AP), Agence France-Presse (AFP), and Reuters.
The Associated Press (AP) stated that at around 2 a.m. that day, at least seven explosions and the sound of low-flying aircraft were heard in Caracas, and residents were seen rushing into the streets throughout the city.
Reuters, citing multiple eyewitnesses, also reported that loud noises, the sound of aircraft, and plumes of smoke were observed in Caracas. In the southern part of the city, near a military base, a power outage occurred.
It remains unclear whether the incident was an accident or the result of external actions. The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela's government did not immediately respond to The Associated Press (AP)'s request for comment.
Previously, the administration of Donald John Trump in the United States of America (USA) had mentioned the possibility of a ground operation in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to pressure President Nicolás Maduro to step down.
Recently, U.S. media reported that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had struck a remote port facility on the Venezuelan coast.
