According to The Financial News, a Chinese influencer with nearly 44 million followers had their account suspended after broadcasting a pool party live and exposing women's bodies in a provocative manner.
On the 27th, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported that the influencer, known by the pseudonym Liu Er Gou, livestreamed the party attended by about 20 people for approximately three hours.
It was reported that the broadcast attracted nearly one million viewers.
The footage included numerous close-up shots of women wearing revealing outfits, focusing on specific body parts such as their chests and buttocks.
The livestream also showed Liu Er Gou and other male participants playing around with the women or pushing them into the pool.
Additionally, there was a scene where Liu Er Gou personally applied body lotion to a woman in an attempt to promote the product.
Viewers who watched the video criticized the content as excessively vulgar and reported it to the platform, but the video continued to spread without being blocked.
It was only about ten days later that the short-form video platform suspended Liu Er Gou's account, citing a violation of regulations. Some have criticized the platform for its delayed response, suggesting it allowed the problematic content to remain in order to boost traffic.
