[Financial News] Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, who has repeatedly been asked whether she visited 'Cheon Jeong Gung,' the main sanctuary of the Unification Church, stated, "I have been to Unification Church facilities." She also added, "I have never had tea with President Hak Ja Han in person."
On the 26th, during an appearance on 'Park Young-hwan's Sisa No. 1 Street,' Na Kyung-won firmly dismissed the ruling party’s claims of her alleged ties to the Unification Church, calling them "absurd."
Na explained, "I am not even sure if it was Cheon Jeong Gung, but after losing the 2020 election, I visited a facility with several others during my time out of office, and that was it." She emphasized, "I have never met President Hak Ja Han at the facility."
She also mentioned that she attended several Unification Church-related events at the request of media outlets.
Na said, "I am not exactly sure. I remember going when I was Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, and I think I might have attended as parliamentary leader as well." She continued, "I may have seen President Hak Ja Han from a distance at such events."
She added, "I have never had a one-on-one tea with her personally."
She also shared her opinion on the special prosecutor for the Unification Church.
Na Kyung-won stated, "I hope it proceeds quickly. Instead of just talking and stalling, the special prosecutor should promptly and transparently reveal everything related to the case." Regarding suspicions about her own involvement, she asserted, "If there were any issues with me, the special prosecutor would have investigated me a hundred times over."
